A day through a deaf persons eyes

There's a lot of things that the hearing world doesn't realize about the deaf population and it is one of the reasons why I'm talking about deafness on a relatively regular interval. And yes it's fine to ask me questions in the comments of any of my posts about XYZ and don't worry about offending me, consider me as someone that cannot be offended by anything what-so-ever and as someone that holds nothing sacred. And yes you can literally ask me stupid questions or weird things like "How do you do dirty talk when having sex" and that's fine too.

I'm not anywhere near the level that the video below portrays, however there are times where I find it more convenient to simply go mute when I go somewhere by myself, especially somewhere new. It saves me a lot of hassle with dealing with trying to figure out what someone is saying more often than not and lip reading is quite tiresome. And my accuracy with lipreading goes right out the window if I'm already tired because I can't be fussed with making the attempt.

I'm not sign reliant, though I am able to use basic ASL when the need arises. My day is different than the video, but all the same it's worth showing because while I'm a mild deaf, the kind of person portrayed in the video is a person born profoundly deaf.
