Restoring 1935 slot machine (part 2)

So far the machine has been stripped down to the basics, lots of rusty springs and corroded parts. There are lots of old coins jammed in some of the machine parts. My guess is this old vintage piece has not worked for the last 40 years. It is very important to take lots and lots of photos when restoring anything and save them in a safe place. It will be near impossible to try and reassemble a machine like this without drawings and photos.

To see this technology from 1935 in quite amazing, the mechanics, small gears and cams, needles and springs all working together to create a mechanical masterpiece. It must have taken years of engineering and trial and error back then. A wonderful hobby that is very rewarding. I paid ZAR 16000 for the machine (about USD 1200 and these machines fully restored sell for around USD 5000 so it should be a worth while project.
