Gratitude is Altitude

Gratitude is a ladder for greatness. Remember that when you are constantly hoping for something to happen, you are overlooking what already has and can be ungrateful in the process.

Surprisingly, we are not thankful for life. We take for granted this rare privilege because we have not lost it. I have never seen any man genuinely wish they were dead instead of someone else. I have not seen anyone wish they were homeless instead of someone else; or a rich genuinely wanting to be poor.

I have not seem anyone wish to be broke, barren, sad instead of someone else who is living in a miserable state. Most of us fail to acknowledge that we have so much to be thankful for. We need to also understand that gratitude opens the door for a higher altitude. Before you think of asking something from God, thank Him first for what He has already given you and if you cannot itemize any of such blessings, thank Him for your life. There are people willing to trade their situation or state for you, even the dead.

If you want to go higher, be grateful for the place you are now.
