Manhattan Sunrise • Golden Hour

Most people know about the golden hour that happens at the end of the day but ignore the fact that it happens twice a day. I guess that's probably because nobody likes to get up early if they don't have to. Well, I bit the bullet this morning and set my alarm for 4 AM... so I could get to a good vantage point to capture the sunrise on the last day of June.

I think it was worth the trip and after passing out upon my return I'm now ready to make a post.

I'm not dissapointed... have a great weekend!

I photographed the sunrise with my Canon 5D camera and 70-200 mm lens.

          It is worth the sacrifice. It's beautiful. But why do you say it happens twice? Do you mean sunset?

              It is majestic the golden hour of the morning as well, but in New York with that view of the buildings It is luxurious.
