Exposing the Lies
Eagerly conveyed my idea but you opposed
Scornfully proclaimed! "I dont matter"
It hurts my ego trying to validate my value
But you make me feel "I am not worthy"
I made an appeal but you turn your cold face and
hissed "You can't make it!"
You made me feel insecure and not beautiful as the others
I sulked in grieve when you point out I am not talented
Dismayed, I need someone to reach
I can't stand your mockery, when you told me I don't have any
Trying to compose myself, I will muster my life you shattered
But you crushed my spirit when you dismissively presume I will fail
I left your territory and spread my wings vehemently
I worked hard and never looked back
When the words spoken cross my mind
I let it drift away by the tide of time
I regret the days I was blinded by your words
I realized I do Matter in this world
I am worthy, my presence is a treasure to somebody
I can make it, who I wanted to be
I am beautifully created
Yes! I may fail but I will rise
Just like an Oak tree, I'll survive!
I love the idea of Lisa Nichols one of the inspirational speaker I admire, she talked about how we expose the lies in our mind.
There were chatters or screaming voices popping inside our head
"I dont matter"
"I am not worthy"
" I can't make it"
"I am not beautiful as the others"
"I am not talented"
"I dont have friends"
"I am a failure"
The weaknesses lists immensely increasing
It is unending lies we are feeding in our minds
Toxins slowly eating up our energy until we became paralyzed
Its time to expose the truth!
As what Rock Thomas quoted on his goalcast video
The word follows I am.. Follows You
Lets change our dialogue to ourselves:
"I do matter"
"I am worthy"
" I can make it"
"I am beautiful, God created me unique"
"I am talented"
"I have genuine friends "
"I will be successful"
Let's rehearse everyday and govern our thoughts on it
What we focus on Expands - Tony Robbins
The way to get rid of the bad thinking is not eliminating it but by replacing it with positive ones...
If you know your value you do not have to prove it to anyone .

I liked how you transformed the negative to positive affirmations, @orhem. Positivity doesn't come naturally to everyone. Some are better at it than others, but the thought that we have the power within us to change our thoughts to be so, gives us hope. I wish you'll continue feeding your mind with positive thoughts :)
