Playing with the Scam: Microhash - Testing
Dear Steemians,
The ogre is actually testing MicroHash (https://www.microhash.net) - a "company" which promises 10%-interest a day. Interestingly it got good reviews:

But this 10 % ist obviously a big red flag: Which company can give you 10% a day (for a lifetime)? If you look at their HP, they say they make their income from mining BTC and give you the chance to lease hashing power from them - and here is the main problem I have with this site: BTC mining isn´t that profitable, furthermore they lease out KH/s (yea right: not TH/s): For example I have 1025 KH/s at the moment which should bring me 12 bucks a day: That´s simply not possible. They say their entire capacity is 100GH/s, that would earn sth like 0.01 BTC per year.
Furthermore: If we do the math the business model can not work: If the site is up for a year (chances practically 0 %), there will be a lot of new Billionaires: Compoundaily says I could compound to $ 154,002,804,902,356,544.00 after one year (great, looking forward to it, since I need some more SP ;)).
So why did I invest 120 bucks?
- Firstly, its a gamble, like going to the Casino, and I simply love to play (but only with small amounts).
- Secondly, I´ve got a plan: My plan is to first get my initial investment back (in 10 days). I speculate that this site will be up for two or three more weeks which should also be enough to get some profit out of it. Up to now all payouts came through (I invested five days ago; today I got 12 bucks paid out). But this plan can easily fail. So I will keep you posted.
To sum this up: I can not recommend this site. I think it is a SCAM (or Ponzi).

Hey there, I am documenting my "journey" with microhash. I think its a scam, too. But nevertheless I wanted to give it a try.

scam for sure - I also still gamble and no issues so far - I guess they will be up some weeks, but not more...
Of course microhash is a scam. If I had a way to legit earn 10% per day, I wouldn't make it available to others. I mean, I could turn $1 into $1.2 quadrillion dollars with the simple magic of compounding.
Of course that didn't stop me from throwing $10 into the rink with Microhash to see what happens (so far, 2 days of withdrawls). If I lose this money, its no big deal (but don't get me started on Genesis Mining - they are still holding my first 30 days of payments for almost 2 weeks)
Lots of people are promoting Microhash and similar sites and its hard to say "I don't want 10% daily returns". But try to keep it real and protect your money.
true words! MH is still cranking - surprisingly. But Genesis Mining: I am also in there and thought it was a lower risk investment... ha!
