THE POWER OF ONE (MANAGEMENT PERSPECTIVE)

Hello Fellow Steemian, this is your friend @optimistdehinde. Hope you are actually enjoying the advantage attached to been a part of this platform. As for me I can tell you categorically that things have never been the same for me. Have been enjoying lot of goodies on this platform for example, making new friends, showcasing some talents in me through writing and most especially learning from lot of intelligent people. It’s really fun.

Now to what I want to talk about today which I titled ‘’ The Power of ONE (Management Perspective). This write up was inspired by my Mentor, my teacher, my coach and my pastor who happens to be the one that preached this sermon from the religious point of view. So I think this is an opportunity to share it with my friends on this platform.

The power of one cannot be overemphasized in any group, association or Organization because it explains the important of an individual in the growth and success of an Organization or group. Someone said ‘’ NO ONE IS A MISTAKE OR UNIMPORTANT IN THE JOURNEY TO THE TOP’’. That mean everyone has one role or the other to play either good or bad on your journey to fulfillment. Every season of a man’s life must be taken serious and use productively.

They word MAN according to a scholar is said to mean an acronym for Morning, Afternoon and Night meaning as humans we can’t afford to waste or joke with any part of our time or opportunity given to us. How you understand those season of your life (career) has a lot to do with how far you will go in it.

One thing can always make the difference; let us look at the following explanation:

a. In 1923, history wrote that it was just ONE vote that made Adolf Hitler to become the leader of the Nazi Party, which later led to the death of 60,000 Jews in the gas chambers during the Holocaust.

b. It was also the same ONE vote as mentioned in the first point that led to the Second World War.
It is good to be an asset than been a liability because you are a liability if you don’t contribute your own part to the success of your group or Organization.

c. History also recorded that it was just ONE vote that made Texas (Houston) to become part of United State America in the 18th century.
Another person said ‘’ One right man in the right place will always makes the difference.

d. In December, 1955 it was a lady (ONE) that fought for the right of blacks to sit anywhere they like in any public bus just like their white counterparts.

e. Mary Slessor a Christian missionary to Nigerian was the woman that helped to eradicate the killing of twins in some part of Nigerian, they seen as evil children at birth, but she went through all the pain and abuse to win that battle. She won that battle till date.

From the above, it shows that your ONE effort and additional contribution can be that one thing that will change the face that project, assignment, goal, vision and so on.

It is time to register relevance and stop complaining. Don’t just be a spectator but also be a participator. Don’t just add to the number but start making impact where it matters.
You have to be that ONE that will make the team to be thick and be among the high flyers. It is time to be so conspicuous that you will not be unnoticed.

You have just ONE attempt at life so live it on purpose. Even if one has made so much of wrong choices in the part, immediately you make that one right decision it clears every other wrong choices of the past.

The reason why you still have the job that you doing now is because you still have a vital role to play in the success of the group or Organization as that ONE important person.

The power of that ONE decision can make the difference. One of my trade secret is never to take NO for an answer. So I will still to make that ONE effort to see if it will turn the table around to my advantage.

You will be surprise what that ONE decision will do to you campaign and journey to destiny fulfillment.

Just be that ONE person. Just take that ONE decision. Just encourage that ONE colleague that he can do it. That ONE is the entire ONE that will be needed to succeed.
