Keeping the Faith & Commitment
Hello dear brothers and sisters!,
we are surrounded by so many things that lure our attention and focus to keep the faith & our commitment to God & what Christ Jesus taught us. The World is full of things that are appealing to the eyes, body and sometime cause lust and steal our attention. Most of the things that have been fused in the World are to keep us joy, yet most of them drive us away from what is right in the face of God. Just look at these: fornication, drinking, friendship, concert, clubs, and many other social lives push us to commit sins. As long as we develop interest in some of these social enjoyment in the World, we are moved from doing what is right. Our attention to keep the faith & commitment to God is faded out.
As the Bible put it “I have the right to do anything,” you say, but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”but not everything is constructive.( 1 Corinthians 10: 23) We can do all things as human, but not all things are desirable for us to do, if we really want to keep our faith and be committed to God. Many things that have been fixed in this World are there to deceive us and disconnect us from the love of God. The moment we give our attention and focus on them, we lose our faith that we have built with God. In proverbs 1:10, the Bible says that: "My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them." There are many friends friends who have become obstacle in our lives. They influence our lives when we walk with them. But we can't shon our face from them.
We must still keep our faith and commitment even if the World tries to push us to do things which are undesirable before God. We much keep God's way right. One thing that will keep us remembering God always is through reading the Bible and praying daily. If the words are always within us, we can always be focus and committed to God.
