EVERYTHING HAPPENS IN ITS SEASON: GOD MAKES IT SO!
ECCLESIASTES 3:1
"There is time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven."
- There is time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to to uproot,
- a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
- a time to weep and a time to laugh, atime to mourn and time to dance,
- a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
- a time to search and a time to give up, a time tokeep and a time to throw away,
- a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
ECCLESIASTES 3:14: "I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.
Verse 15: Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account."
For everything is ceaseless toil and life is useless according to Ecclesiastes 1:1-11
Now, there is a fixed order of everything in the World. Everything happens at the time God has decided it will happen. In view of this, all human effort to improve life is useless. People can change nothing(Ecc. 3:1-15)
We expect a time of judgement when all of man's activities will be judged. Man dies the same way as animals, and life after death cannot be proved( before the decending of the Lord Jesus Christ). The best mankind can do then is to enjoy life while he can(Ecc. 3:16-22).
Time means a fixed or apointed period, this was also coined in Esther:
Esther(9:27): "The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their apointed time every year."
Season has the same meaning as time. In Scientific point of view, we have two main seasons: rain season and dry season. Each of these seasons are associated with conditional changes that God has made it so. This Scientific season is just one part of God's season of all things He created, which is under discussions.
God's decisions for His World stand secure and complete. The World has been constructed in such a way as to lead men to fear God, that is, acknowledged and respect him.
God will therefore call the past to account- this gives the idea of judgement when man will have to account for his past deeds, this was in line with Jesus' teaching in Matt. 25:
THE MESSAGE IN REFERENCE TO OUR LIVES OCCURENCES
Wouldn't it be great if someone could tell you what to expect out of the year ahead of your life? Many people who make predictions miss them. However there are some predictions we can make about our lives that will come true. Is this possible?
There are seasons of blessings, and there are seasons of testing and we will experience each.Life, is not made up of only of blessings. Life is also filled with tests.
What is a test? It is a time when one needs to move slowly. It is the time that we go through struggles and difficulties that may be dangerous. An example of this is our teenage years. We all go through some serious testing, and if we are not careful we can make serious mistakes that follow us into adulthood.
Some of these seasons occur not because we bring them upon themselves. Take for instance the time to be born and the time to die. We do not have anything to do with birth and will have less to do with death. Then there are seasons that just simply happen, as for example, the time to weep, and the time to laugh. Many of the things that make us laugh we did nothing to bring on ourselves. But at other times, we determine what season will prevail in our lives- such as time to plant and a time to uproot...a time to love and a time to hate.
The seasons vary in length. Sometimes terrible things come in waves one after the other. Sometimes of blessings lasts for many weeks, and then a season of testing appears from no where and lasts for only a few moments. Sometimes too the blessings come in the middle of the test.
You may be in the midst of a season of testing; you need to take heart during those seasons because there is a future season of blessing. The Psalmist affirms this promise. "For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."(Psalm 30:5).
If we affirm that God has made all things beautiful in its time(Ecc.3:11) and are assured of the hope of eternal life.(John 14:2), then we can in our work and play enjoy all seasons we pass through, knowing that ultimately goodness will triumph and God's blessings will be eternal.
