Today's challenge is very powerful and lovely to share-"Day 57- Friday Challenge, The Biggest Day of My Life." There are countless biggest days I've spent in my life's time but one biggest day which surpasses all is "the day I had my appointment letter to go and be a classroom teacher." I know this isn't much celebration as compare to ones wedding day or unexpectedly hitting a jackpot, but I will land on the point where I mean this is the August day in my life.

My fellow Ghanaians will testify that one of the greatest challenges Ghana is facing right now is "high unemployment graduate," where even we have their association known as "Unemployment Graduate Association of Ghana." So, for one after successful completion of University or Polytechnic to have job is just by either chance, miracle or through whom you know or who knows you. If you aren't coming from teacher training or nursing training colleges where you would be posted directly by the authorization of Government, then you have to pass through dubious means to find job.
In my case I passed through Polytechnic, which is basically technical, that's Higher National Diploma in Agriculture. Consider where I suppose to be: Veterinary office, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry division, Cocobod and other Agricultural fields. After completing my National Service, those were the places I was looking for to enroll myself. For the past six months of completing my National Service in August 2010, all my life was traveling, moving ups and down to Accra to secure job in the Agricultural sector. For this six months, I became dejected and worried, since when I cast my mind back, there wasn't anybody to support me. My Mom and Dad who through them I was brought on this Earth had passed away, then it was up to me to crack the nut by fair or foul means.
My hustle life on campus with friends doing group discussions.
I then taught it wise not to use my two eyes to look into one bottle, because there are many avenue to become successful, then I ask myself if so, why should I keep all my eggs in one basket while I can equally distribute into other containers for safety? I quickly took that decision myself to try the teaching sector since I have passion for teaching. Even when I completed my second cycle institution, I did little pupil's teacher. I quickly applied for teaching in the same District where I did my National Service. This was way back September 2010 immediately I finished the National Service. As I rightly put it, Ghana in 21st Century, nothing is done for free, unless you put some weight. Unless you grease those officers, the Human Resources Manager's and Director's palm before they will even look into your application to see whether you qualify. I did exactly as the custom demands. I therefore had to wait, watch and pray over it for some couple of months.
Lo and behold, exactly six months time, on that faithful day- 25th February, 2011 I had my appointment as a classroom teacher to teach at the same School where I did my National Service( Anansu Presby Junior High school in Sekyere Central District). That was a miracle and great testimony in my life today as I'm sharing the biggest day of my life. Now I'm a professional teacher, just after one year that my salary came, I quickly went to University of Education- Winneba and did 2 years Diploma in education through sandwich. I attached that certificate to my Higher National Diploma to qualify me. I enjoyed learning in the University when I acquired credit in Diploma in Education. I have also formed a family in Anansu Presby Junior High school, even though that place isn't where I come from. We make funs when we are on break from teaching. I have now forgotten the past experience when I was suffering looking for job.

I felt that this day I received my appointment letter would be the greatest day I will celebrate in my life, apart from being granted permission to be in the Kingdom of God. Because, I considered that if I have an appointment letter, by all means my salary would processed and cash go flow. I can use to apply for loan. If the money comes, wedding is the secondly matter. Most of the happiness, enjoyment and celebrations would depend on this appointment letter. Any life that I want to live, I can do so if I have job. There are many people our there who can't make ends meet because they don't have job. Yes, this dream came to life after getting the appointment letter. My salary was processed and it came very fast. Right now, I don't fear because I'm on pay roll of Controller and Accountant General Department of Ghana(CAGD), the payslip gives me guarantee to apply for loan when I have no money. I think this is the biggest day of my life so far.
I'm now enjoying my new life with my colleagues teachers here. My dream of making living possible began from this place.
Thanks to all friends here in Steem. This is how I will end my story of the biggest day of my life.
That's is an inspirational story, thanks for sharing
