White Flowers
Tiny white flowers light up the borders like stars in the night sky.
The star-shaped white flowers of the choisya are beautiful in the springtime sunshine against the darker backdrop of their evergreen leaves. In the warmth of the afternoon sun the delicate fragrance of the petals fills the air.
Carefully balancing my paints and drawing board on my knees I sat and painted these delicate white flowers. The new spring growth facing upwards towards the sun, as I try to capture the energy of springtime in my brush strokes. With the garden full of birdsong it is a beautiful time of the year to be sat outside painting.

Summer in the Northern Hemisphere will begin on 21st June and ends on 22nd September- abruptly.
It's always abrupt that cruel end. I celebrate it as early as possible as June and July up here often become rainy season!
