EYES on the city
An EYE on the city
I started this piece a few weeks ago, and it has been sat on my drawing desk waiting to be finished. Initially I had only drawn in the buildings and the sun, but it looked like it needed something else. Today I added two characters to the ink drawing, Eye think they have their EYES on the city.
I used my dip pen and drawing inks to draw in the outline of the walking eyes, I then used a paint brush to add subtle tones using black drawing ink and water.
Do you think they saw us?

I have a doubt that adhesive tape you use is so that the sheet of paper does not move or to give a margin to the drawing or both? On the other hand is a pretty beautiful painting I really liked the eyes are very well made :)
It is to hold the paper down- I usually tape the work down to drawing boards before I begin a drawing- so when I'm working I move the board not the paper (which could crease) and the board gives a smooth surface underneath to lean on. It also leaves a border, which looks nice too :D
I've had the bad experience of living in a country where the eyes haunt us, in the best style of 1984! Although I'm sure it's better when a tender and kind look, even seductive, accompanies you and chases you in the distance. Nice night, @opheliafu.
Hi @nancybriti! I wish these EYEs were lovingly watching over the citizens of this city, but it is more 1984 observation.
Those EYEs are everywhere, and often a running theme in my drawings.

This reminds me a little bit of Big Brother George Orwell type theme. Nicely done thanks so much for sharing
More eyes, you must be doing some serious introspection as well, although it is true that we, especially in England, feel under the watchful gaze of the unseen unblinking eye. We live in odd times that are not out of place in a SF dystopian future novel.
