A spirit control life
A lady was in anger with another Christian sister, and as they bandied words, she said to her neighbour, “Any more word from you, I will drop this Bible, and slap your face!” Meanwhile, she was not holding a physical Bible, but she meant that she would keep aside whatever caution the Bible gives, and hit her. You know what that show? It shows the Word was not yet in her heart; it was still in the Bible.
When the Word is in you, you won't drop it because it's s your life. Every Christian wants, and should live the life that is Spirit-ruled and Spirit-controlled; the life that is filled with God. That is what Christianity is: Christ alive and at work in you till extend that you are always under the sway and regulation of the Spirit; not things as anger, wrath and malice.
Don’t let your feelings or emotions control you; be Spirit-ruled. no matter how angry you are; hold yourself in; it is called in 2 Peter 1:6 “egkrateia” (Greek word). The Bible says, “Be ye angry, and sin not…” (Ephesians 4:26). In other words, “Manage your anger.” You can be tempted to be angry, tempted to act in a way that is inappropriate for a Christian, but if you walk in the spirit, you will not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
You walk in the spirit by walking in the Word of God; walking in the light of God’s Word. You are in Christ now; walk in love. Be Spirit-ruled and controlled every time. When you are filled with the Spirit, you have a Spirit-controlled life.
