How steemit destroyed my sexual relationship

This was the whatsapp message I receives from my girlfriend. I was too busy on steemit that I forgot to check on my whatsapp. My phone was equally on silent so I missed 50 of her calls.
I just didn't know the excuse to give her. She has complained over the way I deprive her time to steemit. And I had promised not to let that happen again.
This morning, while I was busy writing a post and trying to connect with steemians on steemchat, discord and on posts, she dropped the above calls and whatsapp messages.
I just didn't know how to go about it. Maybe I could have lied. But I didn't. I told her I was on steemit and didn't see her calls.
Baaaaaaam! She called off the relationship.
Am writing this with tears. How could I let this happen. Loosing my girlfriend all because of of my obsession to steemit.
I wish I could get her to forgive me. I really do wish she can understand me. I've always wanted to be self employed , dedicated to something profiting and inspiring. And yes steemit gave me all that.
Now she's saying I have to give up on steemit if I want our relationship. I love her. But can't risk my steemit.
I pray she understands...
send her some sbd. send her a steemchat message. if she really loved you she would join steem. like my gf. and ex even. she should support you.

I just nagged the gf and ex and all of my friends... 4 people joined. They think its a ponzi scheme.only one posts. Seems to be quite difficult to get people to join.
If people insist on being stupid, then let them. I told a friend of mine about the benefits of Steem, as in, being able to chat online with me just like we were doing at the time - and getting paid to do that. But he said he'd go to work if he needed money.
WTF? Have you seen the movie Idiocracy? The main character is a man of average intelligence in our time. He is sent 500 years into the future. The average level of intelligence has sunk to an abysmal depth. In that time, he is a genius compared to just about anybody. Now, his best friend in the future, a pretty dull guy by modern standards, says "Unbelievable, I like money, too." when he meets his new friend for the first time. That was a funny line in 2006 when the movie came out. But I'm not so sure about 2017 ...

something similar happened with my wife but I decided to integrate it with me and steemit since we both love photography and although she does not understand much about blogs and the internet, but when you can win something with the photos you join my hobby.
Exactly! I've tried telling her about steemit as well. Try setting up a brand to ease the work load on her as well. But she's not just willing to work...
I just pray she comes around...

Hi @onyemacourage i am sorry about your gf, as ladies one thing we hate to be deprived of is attention, but at the same time i do not think its enough reason to break up if she loves you she will understand, and she wont give you such option if steemit makes you happy she should support you.
