Sad to hear about this suicide. But as a Christian I believe even though he made a foolish mistake, he won't be spending an eternity in hell. His sin was a finite one and it won't attract a disproportionately infinite punishment. Besides God's mercy is infinite, when he's learned his lessons, consequences for the transgressions of God's divine laws, the mercies of God will find him and lead him to a place of Light closer to the bosom of the Almighty.
