Contest; Bringing Us Together

Introduction

Good day steemians. I trust we are all doing well. I'm happy to share with you all my view of what togetherness is. Before I begin, I'd like to think, @sahmie for this beautiful contest for us to share what togetherness means to us.

What does togetherness mean to you?

Togetherness is coming together of people to unite. One person cannot make "together". It takes more than one person to form togetherness. Being together with someone means you two share something in common. It could be marriage, friendship, leader and follower, e.t.c Togetherness helps you share problems, brainstorm solutions, share goals and visions, celebrate wins and mourn losses. Togetherness helps us get on our feet again after falling.

How can we create a stronger sense of community in our lives?

We can create a stronger sense of community in our lives by the following ways:
🦋 Volunteering: Engaging in community activities, doing what needs to be done without being forced to. This helps in bonding as you all will work together.
🦋Physical Support: Helping the community clean the surroundings, gutters, helping old people and school children cross the road, helping weak people lift their bags. All these are ways of showing physical support.
🦋 support can be in different forms, physical support where you help with physical work, This will help in uniting a community.
🦋 Spiritual support: Putting the community in our individual prayers, praying for them, praying for peace, praying for the leaders. This will go a long way.

What activities do you think bring people closer together?

🦋 Sports bring people together. Engaging in sports or watching sports together is a great way of strengthening togetherness.
🦋Picnics: Spending time outside with people you connect with will bring you all together.
🦋 Religious activities: Spending time in the presence of God, rejoicing, dancing and forgetting about your sorrows can bring people together.

What are some challenges to togetherness in today’s world?

🦋 Untrustworthy people: In a group where someone people or one person is not trustworthy, he/she can end up spreading private information that was shared in the group. This can make some people skeptical about sharing their problems in a group.
🦋Time: Most people have work or jobs to do. Their busy schedule doesn't give them the luxury of time to spend time with other people. This is one of the barriers challenging us.
🦋Gadget: Everything has advantages and disadvantages. Technology has done both good and bad to us. One of the bad ways is taking our social time away. People now prefer to spend time on your phones, laptops. Write on their digital diaries instead of sharing them with physical friends and getting solutions to the problems.

How can we support each other during tough times?

🦋Showing love 🦋 Visiting as often as possible 🦋 Listening ear 🦋 Giving 🦋 Sharing ideas of possible solutions
