in estonia there is a lot of dark bread, not sure why in lithuania its not easy to find:)
i prefer one with seeds
What I meant - not easy to find TRUE HOMEMADE bread . ( not just dark). All dark in color (in supermarkets etc) are commercialized, and not the same as that true homemade, baked like it used to be 50-70 years ago
Estonia is 1000 km north from us, so naturally Dark is more popular than in my country.
Go 1000-2000 km south from us , all you get is WHITE bread, from wheat .
Extremely rear somewhere in Ukraine, Armenia or Greece to see DARK one , baked from rye.

100% wholemeal rye. Not that difficult to make.
Thankfully I live in the land of bread - Germany. Here you can find all kinds of bread, from pure white bread to Pumpernickel and everything inbetween.
Making dark and full grain bread at home is not easy, its a lot of work, requires experience and also the normal kitchen oven are not really optimal for baking bread. A bread baking machine can help and reduces cost as well.
But I only bake white bread myself, the dark ones I rather buy from a professional.
