Niagara Falls: Birds, Butterflies and More!

Back again!

We’ve returned from our little weekend getaway and although the skies were a bit grey and the weather was still a little chilly, we had a great time in Niagara Falls.

We only had two days to see and do everything we wanted to, so we were definitely on-the-move. First thing was first, we had to see the Falls themselves again. I’ve been to Niagara Falls many times in my life, but physically being there and seeing the rushing water cascade over those edges never ceases to draw my gaze. Comprised of three individual waterfalls (Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil) and possessing a vertical drop of over 150 feet, there’s a reason people keep coming back to the Falls.

We also managed to make it to two really fun and interesting stops along the way: the Bird Kingdom aviary and the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Parks. The wildlife we have here on Earth is endlessly fascinating and incredibly diverse, so getting to see some of these animals live and in-person is really inspirational. We saw so many different animals, from the advertised birds and butterflies to others such as turtles, snakes and even bats and spiders!
