RE: Pine Mountscape

Having gear is fun and all but at the moment I haven't reached the limits of my kit yet, so investing would be rushing it a bit.

Also, being on the verge of a real bankruptcy, the only thing I can afford to invest in now is work, practice, some more work and some more practice :) I'm shooting and editing like a maniac lately, even while working (my work allows for it, yay), so I'll be around, improving, and posting :)

In the mean time, hopefully I'll get back on my feet so I can invest in some gear as well...

Thanks for the thoughts and nice words man! :)

Same here with no cash (except the SP I own that I don't want to spend as I think of it as a kind of retirement fund) as I'm a jobless student in a broken and corrupt country close to yours; Croatia.

Sad to hear that you are in that position but imo, all of us get some kind of obstacles in life to pass, that build us as a person. This is just a hurdle you will jump over soon. Just have to be patient and persistent.

In my case the obstacle is that I don't even want to work a shit job for 400€ a mont. I would rather spend my day improving my photography/videography/editing skills than to spend 10 hours going to work/working/coming home. I would rather be poor and improve my skills to the max and then maybe in the end make myself a job from the skills acquired and open up a firm.

But then again I hate the state and taxes so I don't know how I'm going to go about not paying taxes but still, better than working for someone else. Anyway, best of luck man! Don't let the bad times bring you down as they will lift you up, higher than you ever were, in the end when you pass that obstacle.

Haha as if I wrote this. Well, bro, I'm doing the same, tying to improve and be on my own eventually, rather than going outside to work. It's just not worth it.

But either way, I'm fighting man, I'm getting myself our of this. If I ever encounter any work possibilities, I'll let you know. Since we are both learners, maybe we can do a collab some day down the line.

Keep it up, respect for the spirit! :)

You mean going to another country to work? That would even be worth it if you were going with a couple of people. Rent is expensive AF. Even though my friend is doing a great job in Ireland alone. Everything can be done with a bit of hard work and persistence.

Ofcourse, and I'll do the same if I find something, especially if we can collab. What's hard for us photographers is that we need to build a bussines out of it. Competition is rough and you need to be a real expert to do it so it will take me a year or two to get on that level.

Especially with videography + need a ton of gear if I want to do it professionally (lights and gimbal being the most important then lenses, lenses and more lenses :)

But overall we will get there, I'm sure. BTW how old are you? I'm 23

I can't go to another country to work, at least not for now. Let the divorce go through first :)

I was saying I'm getting out meaning out of my current financial kerfuffle.

However, you're young, man. You need not worry much, you've got all the time in the world. I'm 35, so let grandpa tell you something...haha just kidding :)

I had some major distractions when I was at your age, so missed on improvement and skill-building. Couldn't even think about it. It's why I'm catching up now :)

Stay focused and keep pushing, I like your attitude :)

If you plan on doing work with your camera I think that a lot of it could be done here; no need to go somewhere else for that. For example; I got a friend shooting weddings for 200-300€ per wedding. That can be a regular job if you find at least 2 or 3 weddings per month you are good.

Aren't we all :)? Sadly most of us werent lucky enough to be bor into money.... But then again, maybe it's for the best. I would be the laziest tard ever if I had cash, think it's the universe pushing us to discover ourselves and become the best version of ourselves.

I would rather worry a lot now then to worry later. This is my time now and what I do in the next 10 years will paint a picture of how the rest of my life will be. SO if I do a shit job now I'll cry later, so let's not do that and go full steem ahead now and party later!

You and everyone else who is pushing to reach a goal will get there!
