Lost in my city

Today, I resurfaced in familiar routes after almost 24hours of being lost into the popular ship port of my country/city. All through the day and night yesterday, I had been grounded with heavy duty dock yard trucks and containers going in into the dockyard to be laden and the ones coming off to different part of the city and country respectively.

How did that happened?

It turns out that some supplies and hauling calls are way more complicated than they look, the clients warehouse is somewhere in between the ship yards and the loading docks for heavy duty trucks, hence going there requires a perfect timing that fits with the scheduling of dockyard activities. But as fresh transporter with little or less familiarity with a specific location, I and my partner took on the assignment and at first Google Maps helped till the app was confused on its own. Google Map helps in some extreme cases provided there is a provision for instant updating of locations and traffic influx, who is responsible for that, I wouldn't know as it will continue pointing you in the right directions without telling you how heavy or trapped the road users will be.

So a two and half hours trip became a full day journey, gallons of fuels burnt in standstill traffic jam moving an inch per hour, it was the worst business day of my life compared to the other work challenges. I couldn't even access my steem account for my daily checks, was on Google Map and Twitter searching for alternative routes till I ran out of battery power on my mobile device. Thanks goodness I made it home now with sores and severe headache, and with developed phobia for heavy traffic jam which I pray not to be in like yesterday's, Amen!
