THE STRANGE FEELING

Sitting down alone in deep thought,
Wishing we had never fought.
Hurting deep down inside,
With regrets toiling with my mind,
It almost seems you are gone forever.
What a strange feeling indeed,
This sensation I can't explain,
Your forgiveness is all that remained.
Hoping to see you again,
With happiness written all over your face.
Realising as each day passes by,
My whole life was built on lies.
Now ready to make amends,
For those feelings of mine are real,
Regardless of my deeds.
