My first hiking trip...

Photo was taken at the peak of Mt. Batulao, Batangas, Philippines

This was just a minor climb since the mountain has open trails perfect for beginners like us. Together with my cousin and our guide (got one because it was our first time) reached the peak within just a couple of hours

I realized many things in life while climbing:

It's not so easy as it seems to be. I must set my goals the highest as possible and must work hard, and i have to be optimistic.
That there are ups and downs.
Focus on what's ahead, i mean rather than being discouraged to the next peak, must have to set short term goal to climb the nearest peak or station to our current location before thinking about going ahead to the next level.
That i learn from my mistakes.
Trusting my abilities to reach the peak.
That i enjoy my journey
Being nice to everyone at the mountain and being thankful and appreciative to those people who made a part of my journey.
That i help back if i could to other people.

Hiking is fun. I hope you had a great time.

That was very fun! 😁 i will definitely do it again. I followed you brother.

I always though the Philippines were flat islands. These mountains look very imposing. Thanks for sharing. Is a lot of the Philippines like this?

Yes brother. The Philippines has over 7,000 mountaineous islands. The tallest of them is Mt. Apo 2956meters above sea level. So many mountains that even Google can't tell its exact count 😉
