Steem Monsters FOMO
Probably you all hear about the new game in town. Well, it's actually more than two weeks since they start it. I avoided it until now because I never want to spend money on a stupid game.
Almost two years ago I joined Steemit community and start buying steem. The FOMO kicked in I had no clue what I'm doing. Steem was at $3 and after one year it felt to 10 cents. I was desperate but still had hope and felt optimistic and keep buying when almost everyone gave up.
Today I'm here, happy that I listened my gut feeling. Steemit is far from perfect but it's growing. Every day we have a new idea or project on steem blockchain. I can't even keep track of all of them.
For a couple of weeks, I see more and more posts about the new game coming on steem blockchain. I have a feeling it'll be big. The same feeling I had about two years ago about steem and steemit.
FOMO is back and alive and here I am. Stupid and clueless.
What can I do?
I bought some. On top of all shit coins.
Gambling.
I'm not skilled in adding and editing more than take some shots and show you part of my collection.
Here is the top of the steem monster site on my monitor.
And the bottom of the site.
I never collected, trade or play cards online and bought into this just for fun and engagement.
As I understand I'm five legendary cards short of the full collection but I have three double to trade I guess.
It looks like I have some homework to do.
Haha! I also have 167 shiny new cards and I have no idea whether or not that is a good thing! lol.
I like to support Steem projects because it is in my best interest and it is fun. Hopefully, they will also hold value.
I hope it'll turn out at least as good as B coin, hehe.
The game really looks promising still has little time to be released but I think when the tournaments arrive and the number of people who join the game show their interest that probably attract investors who are willing to bring Steem monster to Next Level
I really hope so.
Seems like a nice game
Haha 😂 if cryptokitties could explode I’m sure this can too, what is good is that this game is on the steem blockchain so we won’t have an literal explosion where the blockchain fails .
And that's just one game.
True that, can’t wait to see what will come next !
this is a very exciting game that keeps us entertained and happy, have a nice day and always make yourself happy, I will always support you dear.
I will upvote and restem
Been hearing about this for some time now, well i guess i have to check it out.
This blockchain revolution makes all of us behave strangely especially for the outside world! I never had a time to delve into cryptocurrencies world, until I had a longer chat with one of my clients from UK (in December 2017). He was so enthusiastic about some projects and was very knowledgable. I felt so stupid while listening to him. I wrote two things down while chatting with him: EOS and STEEM. I gave Steemit a try and here my journey began :) I'm still exploring this ground, but this is definitelly a way to go - my gut feeling tells me the same! Maybe I will go into these games someday sooner than later too :) See you!
Nice work @oldtimer! Selenia Sky is the most valuable card right now because it is a legendary, dragon, summoner! HODL!
I don't understand the thing about combining cards.
Combing cards raises them to a higher level and makes them more powerful. It also unlocks new abilities for battle. Combining is not reversible so this will lower the overall card supply which is good for valuation. I'm waiting for them to release more information about the rules before I do any combining. Its also easier to trade single cards because everyone starts with them at level 1 and there is plenty of time to combine before any tournaments start.
There is a block explorer that shows all steem monsters purchase and trading activities. Here is a link to bernie's card deck.

Add any user name on the homepage to see their card deck.

Thanks for the information. Maybe I should hire a jockey for my cards when the game begins.
Ha ha monster jockey!
I have bought lots of these - much more than I initially wanted. It is a little bit addictive. However, while I have no clue what the game will be like in the end - it is important for the Steem ecosystem. It shows what steam is capable of doing - and it brings new users who want to participate in the game. And they need to get some steam to play and buy cards. This is why I believe that the cards might become valuable - and that the Steem price will benefit as well.
No, but if you would like to swap some just contact me.
Same here.
Do you still want to sell legendaries?
Cool stuff, and I too got in the game and bought some packs. I am a little different though, as I played a lot of Magic the Gathering and other online card games in the past...so this is right up my alley.
Should be a lot of fun. Interested to see what the gameplay is like and how the tournaments will work.
I hope it's not to difficult to learn.
