Join Me At My Ride
The weather here is different than in Edmonton. Mornings and evenings are much warmer and humidity is very high.
If you want to take a ride on the mountain bike you must wake up early, which is kind of contradictory with vacations.
I started at 6 AM and came back just after the sunrise.
But photos are great even without the sun.
Gravel roads are everywhere. Firefighters use them in case of wildfires but they are very convenient for the hiking and biking.

The red and white circle is sign for mountaineers that they are on the right track.
This dead bush left me speechless.

Barbecue dinner.
Meat is ready and the bell is waiting to spread the good news.
The thunderstorm caught us just after we finished our meal.
I took at least a hundred shots to catch the lightning.
Unfortunately, I didn't have any luck.
The smartphone camera is simply too slow.

That old gate and stone walls reminds me of the part of Spain where I lived as a teenager; something very OLD and yet very peaceful about it. The bush is pretty amazing, too... I guess you can tell where the wind normally blows from!

It looks like your vacation is off to a great start. I just had a little Steemit vacation with my family here. Your bike ride looks picturesque. The 6 AM start always seems easier when you have the rest of the day to relax and do the vacation thing. Looking forward to seeing more.
