That's a great tip and I find myself having too much high expectations and sometimes often times caught by surprise when something good happens when I didn't expect it. Now if I can manage it or even trick myself into doing this to be happier that would be awesome.
Good solid advice. You hit the nail on the head with this post. Here's one that works for me especially at 'those' gatherings lol
If you don't expect anything. You won't be disappointed
It's true and sometimes like you say. It can turn out better than expected.
I recall the new years eve 2000 party. It was hyped to death and turned out the dullest ever lol
It may have been the high expectations or the people I spent it with haha shame.
'Don't rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can't love and respect yourself - no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are - completely; the good and the bad - and make changes as YOU see fit - not because you think someone else wants you to be different'
I wrote that quote down years ago and read it often. It kind of goes aong with your secret to happiness. Don't have expectations of others...only you can be responsible for your own happiness! It was a hard life lesson for me to truly learn.

Yeah I practice it. I fight not getting hyped into things, simply to be disappointed.
No expectations, no disappointments?!!!
How to be happier, well thank's to you that problem is solved. Next video can you explain the "meaning of life" in just over four minutes?
Well I can give it a shot! Thanks for the idea!
If you do, you will make a fortune. Instant Whale.
Setting expectations too high is a definite path to unhappiness. Good video.
Thanks. It does help me stay even-keeled.

Thanks! That is a perfect example!
I hope to eventually get many of my vids copied over to D Tube. I think maybe one a day is a good pace.
One a day sounds like a good idea. Both of these played fine btw.
Where to start though? At the very beginning?
I was thinking about this as well.

Exactly right. I really like your quote! That is some wisdom that takes years to learn!
My Secret of life is: live in the present moment! No expectation, no regrets, no past, no future, no hoping, just feel the life right here right now!
Sure that is good. I like the uncle Willie birthday story.
