Faded Glory
Faded Glory will be the common theme for today's shots and words. As it is with trees, so it seems to be with humans as well. You hit your peak, then it is that slow decent to the grave. These shots from today show some trees that have seen their peak color and fullness pass about a week or so ago. However, the sun was so bright and the sky was so blue, I just couldnt pass up the last chance to capture some Faded Glory.
Just look at that sky! That is not a common sight to see in Michigan at this time of year.
Of course trying to shoot up the tree bark ( a shot the Tree Queen @dswigle tries to claim as her own that I have been doing for years lol) one can end up with an inadvertent selfie! For all the haters, hey at least there is one I didnt take LOL
I think today's #colorchallenge is orange, so I think we are close enough for that one too.
TreeTuesday is an easy challenge that I encourage everyone to try!
I hope you enjoyed a few shots from today and realize even after one peaks, there can still be beauty in life.

Well, getting back to the real deal here, these beautiful trees! They actually do not care who shoots up their bark, but, honestly, it is one of the neatest shots, isn't it? I love the texture of the different bark.
The color is brilliant! So very beautiful against the blue of the sky. I am pretty sure that autumn doesn't get any better than this.
