Why would people be selling Steem here? It is so frustrating.

Hey man good video and points. I totally understand your argumentation and that is is a bad thing for the whole currency if people sell and becaue of the market situation there are not enough people ready to buy at the moment. But that will change I believe.

I know that a lot of people are in fear and wanna sell as quick as they can. A few whales and dolphins did that because of investment reasons and others just gave up on steem and left. On the other hand we have a lot of people who need steem to pay their bills. This is part of the whole revolution.

Now to your question:

I am one of those sellers since before the last big drop. I decided to change my mind set and use my steem for equipment, use it for fun, for my food, for my garden and so on. I changed my mind about the utility character of steem no matter how high or low the price is. I will keep doing that even if we overcome the problems we experience right now or if the price is at 0.01cent..

I earn steem for my life with content of my life. That's my personal view :)

Peace!

yes over the years i have taken out for upgrades, food, rent and such like. i have no doubt when my client base expands i'll be dribbling bits of fiat back into steem thou because of what it has enabled me to do. people just don't see that yet. it's like i have to concrete explain myself and my whole plans! LOL.

Beats me! Well, I don't name names! But, I know I am buying! With steem this low, you can't afford not to buy it!

Well, I can't. See? I believe in steem. And I think it will pay off to buy now. Not advice, just my opinion!

Steem on, my friend!

Upped and Steemed later

you have to take into account not everyone has 'america' credit lines! :) -- nah, seriously thou, this low is kinda nutty. it makes no sense tbh to sell right now but instead find every way possible to buy and just stay the course. the way that time is moving right now we will see six months blast past like no tomorrow anyway!

Not every transfer to an exchange is for the purposes of selling. Downvoting large accounts is is safer from an untraceable voting account. Some of what looks like selling could be about that.

Agreed. I just think there is selling from the price action. If there was net accumulation, I would think we would stop falling at least.

Yeah. The price dropped in lock-step with BTC. I guess there's a lot of pure speculation going on.

Well, it is a market, and if people are selling, it also means people are buying. Some people definitely sell it to gain an income - it's an active, living currency for them, not just an investment. But... yeah.. if you can, and if you believe in Steem, now is the time to invest.

Yay, power up.
I bought some with SBD and wanted to use it to buy steemfest ticket but decided not to use steem.

When prices are right markets will clear. Obviously the price is nowhere near right just now. It can go lower if sentiment is involved. Time to stand back and watch the weak hands fold. Eventually they will be gone. We know what we have here so just take a breather from watching the price action.

As long as there is juice to power the block chain then everything else can fall apart including the platforms. Running just the block chain doesn't take that much in terms of equipment or costs. It's running everything else that is the killer.

Time to get an instance of steem onto a local machine I think?

It's not me ! ha ha

I dunno the answer.

I thought everything was knowable here, like power downs especially big ones. I really don't know enough about the system to have a clue.
