Your Company Matters.
Proverbs 13:20 (KJV)
He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.
Your friends reflect who you are, where you are going and how far you will go in life. The company you keep affects your life much more than you think because they rub off on you; their morals, standards and mindset. There is no way a man will walk with giants, eat what they eat and remain a dwarf.
There is nothing wrong in having friends but ensure you have the right kind of friends. Be in the company of friends who spur you into action; friends who have your progress at heart, friends with purpose and direction.
Welcome to FEBRUARY. It is important that we are deliberate and intentional about the kind of partnership that we build in this season. You have to Watch the kind of company that you keep, because eventually we all smell like the company we have chosen to keep.
Everyone will not be wise. Some people are clueless about what they want in life, thus have no plan, road map or compass. So they end up nowhere. You can’t tag along with such.
It’s a year to fast forward. Every relationship that comes your way will aid GOD’s fast forward agenda for you. No one will slow you down.
By the wisdom of GOD and by His grace we can choose our friends. We can be intentional about walking only with the wise; men and women who inspire us and make us love GOD better. It's our choice to be around those who won't slow us down.
Proverbs 18:24
A man who has friends must himself be friendly.
To succeed you sow seeds. There is a seed that will breed a harvest of greatness, time is a seed that will yield a life of significance and love is a seed that will yield friends. For he that will have friends must show himself or herself friendly.
You cannot build good relationships and partnerships by living a solitary or secluded life. Demonstrating a genuinely friendly disposition will open the door to a good relationship that may last for life and even help in moving you to the next level in life, because Men are doors and bridges.
Not everyone has to be a close friend, but it’s integral to our happiness that we show people who we truly are, allow ourselves to know them in return, and then remind each other through actions—small or large—that we care.
If we want others to like and welcome us, then we must first be willing to like and welcome them. Regardless of how people treat or mistreat us we are to take the initiative to be friendly.
Your treatment of others is usually an offshoot of the treatment you give yourself. Unhappy individuals cannot create a happy relationship.
Don’t wait for people to be friendly. Show them how by being friendly first.
