Try Not To Try It.
"I am losing it" declared Admiral.
Admiral and Stanton have been friends for a long time now. They practically grew up together. Stanton was away for some years and they lost touch for a bit, until recently when they finally met.
Admiral had a rough past. He has been through almost everything tragic in life. For a boy of that young age, he has gone through what takes a full grown man, in a lifetime, to go through.
He was physically, mentally, socially and even sexually abused by his step mum. His dad wasn't always around. The father won the custody of him.
He lost all sense of pride in living. He lost the motivation to expect anything from life. His faith and courage in God even nosedived.
After losing appreciation for life, he took "solace" in various kind of drugs. This continued for several years, and he needed a friend around, but no sane friend was around to help him.
On this particular day, he slumped after taking overdose because he felt the "usual dose", couldn't contain his excitement anymore.
His step mum stumbled upon him when she decided to go and meet him for the "usual" she has grown accustomed to, by him.
She rushed him to the hospital and he was stabilized. On opening his eyes, he saw his long lost friend; Stanton, now a doctor, and he couldn't hold back the tears. All he could repeatedly say is, "I am losing it".
Say no to any kind of illegal and harmful drugs people. Drugs ruin lives. Makes you feel good for a while and afterwards, you lose touch with reality and nothing else makes sense, in whatever you attempt to say or do.
It is one of the major youth killer! Stay clear, stay safe.
Speak to someone if the pain becomes unbearable or before depression sets in. No one can make it out here all alone. Don't bottle so much inside. We all need someone to lean on. It is okay to ask for help, it is never a sign of weakness.
Thank you for reading.

Drugs are dangerous
It delights me to hear you say that. Thank you very much.
This is a very interesting topic. I wish our youngsters out there will read this. Cases of drug/substance abuse is now rampant not only in tertiary institution but also in our secondary schools too.
It is very heart wrenching, seeing people take to drugs fir temporary relief. It hurts. You are absolutely right, even in secondary schools.
Great post bro
Wish the younger generation will take this seriously
Thanks brother. I sincerely pray so too.
