Do not forsake your friend or a friend of your family, and do not go to your relative’s house when disaster strikes you— better a neighbor nearby than a relative far away.
4. Your Contacts are important.
A man will remain the same in 5 years except for two things, the friends he keeps and the books he reads. Your circle of influence has a lot to say whether you will gather more wealth or you will waste it. You cannot walk with giants and remain a dwarf. When giants bear you on their shoulders, you won't only go far but you will see far. Those in your circle of influence can go a long way to determine how far you will go in life and also to sustain the blessings that God has already given you.
Cutting certain people off doesn't mean you are judging them. You are not writing anyone off but when you are becoming worse off than when they met you then that is a clear sign to change them, especially when they are not even leading you on a righteous path. When you can't attribute anything significant in achievement while having them, that is a cry for change.
The jews have what we called "Unified Brotherhood for Economic Purposes". This is when items are needed in factories, a Jewish person knows another Jewish person who will supply them. When you surround yourself with credible people and you also have good character, then it is easy for them to refer you and make wealth circulate amongst yourselves. That is a vital aspect of sustaining and generating more wealth when you are surrounded by amazing contacts.
Keeping an established relationship that has been built on trust over time is better as the Bible reference above pointed out. The Bible is also particular about not forsaking people of old that you have known because your key to success can come from them by the virtue of association.
5. Your gifts can create what you need.
Proverbs 18:16 (NIV)
A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.
The gift of a man will make room for him. What God has deposited in you can bring you before kings and people of worth when you harness it and that is how to take advantage of the blessing that God has already given to us.
I know how writing has fetched me so much more because writing comes naturally to me. There is something you do with ease that others struggle with and that is your area of strength. I used to think everyone can easily write until I was in my first year at the university and I noticed some people even have it hard to reply or send a text. They give me their phones to help them type and send a text and at that moment I knew I shouldn't waste the gift of God upon my life and I activated my imaginations more and allowed God to have His way.
I had two job offers that I rejected because they wanted to pay far less than what I am currently earning from making my posts and being there for my family while also doing some extra jobs on the side as a home job.
Joseph and Daniel can interpret dreams and their gifts brought them before kings. You don't keep praying for God to bless you when you won't even recognize the gifts He has already blessed your life with which you can use to succeed in this life.
David was so good with his slingshot and when he confronted Goliath, he boasted that the God that rescued him from the bear and the lion will deliver again. He must have used that skill to deal with the bears and the lions and it wasn't strange to him to use it to bring Goliath down.
You have something in you that God has already blessed you with which you have to use to enjoy the blessings that God had already given to you since you were born. Stop praying to be blessed, rather get to work, use your gifts and trust God to bless the works of your hands. God is not an author of confusion. He has already given you all that you need.
