It's easy to take it all in and force out our demons
You can be thrown to the hardest of places or even the wolves
How you respond matters, so you can choose to come back leading the pack in droves
We build our strength by what we go through amidst life's trouble
Even when you hit the stone, you can still dance with your wobble
Wielding it in style you can turn around and land on your back
If you can look up, you can get up in style on the pack
Life always want to dictate you how you should feel - the mood
Others would want to bring you down too with words from the hood
Our value is what we choose for others to see in this life
You can be many things...a mother, a lover, a builder and a wife
As you can be a father, a lover, a teacher and a shield
It's all about showing what you are all about on a level field
Like a seed, you can spring up and thrive
The more they tried to bury you, the more you can come alive
Even if it means you have to water it with a few tears
That's just the way life is - sometimes without a manual
Mostly without a guide as we learn also from our mistakes
You can't eat it and have it at the same time as the saying goes with the cake
Life won't always be pleasant but we control our narrative to life with how we respond
