Don't Go Down That Lane.
I always stress it that relationship requires a lot of hard work but many people still think they can do whatever they like because the other person 'must' accept them the way they are. Imagine if everyone has this kind of mentality, you can envisage the trouble that would erupt from a lot of relationships. It is not by force that you have to be with someone. If you are not ready to show serious commitment or you are not sure of the person yet, don't lead them on. Come on, don't go down that lane.
No one is putting you under pressure except the pressure you pile on yourself. You feel the pressure when you don't know what you want and when you are not sure of yourself. Relationship is a two way street. If you can't give your best, don't light the fire.
If the purpose of a relationship is not known or it is not mutual, then abuse is inevitable. It hurts to see people not take into consideration the feelings of others. How would you want to be treated? Then treat the other person that way too. How do you want to be loved? Then love the other person that way too. You are not obligated to love someone by force. If you are not feeling it, don't stroke the fire. Leave the person and be honest enough with the person. Clear your own conscience.
There is no higher court than the court of conscience.
A friend of mine told me about this lady he just got reconnected with. They have known each other for long and they decided to reignite the flame of the likeness they had for each other back then and take it a step further into love; dating. He told me, i asked him few questions and i was excited for him. I even spoke with the lady and i was really excited. I told her i would even love to see her soon. She was excited and sounded so warm and nice.
Face value is not usually a real value.
Don't get into the water if you are not ready to swim. Don't lead someone on if you are not ready to go all the way with them. Don't always resurrect a dead feeling hoping how it was then, is how it would be now. A lot of water must have gone under the bridge shaped by a lot of experience as against naivety back then.
