Answer To Nigeria's Woes.

We always look others to be the saviour
Our responsibilities we dodge, never to savour
Even in life, we look to others for a favour
Forgetting that we can also add flavour
To the lives of others around us other than us
We always expect too much from others as we should of ourselves
We want a saviour for our country yet we won't put ourselves on the line
We want others to get things done while we sit in one corner
We point others in the direction to go without taking a step
We want a life of ease but we wouldn't fight for it
No one prepares for war during the time of war
We prepare for war during a time of ease
But most people would rather do nothing as they do as they please
Ease is a threat to work and we need to get to work
When we leave things to the hands of others
They do it as they deem fit and we can't complain
We need to stop looking to others for the salvation that we desire
When no action is taken, we would only be left with complaints
Let's face it, we are all imperfect beings, we don't have any saints
We try to be the better version of ourselves as we grow and go in life
Go and learn patience and tolerance from the man with a wife
We are the answers to the woes that betide our nation
We can't ignore others by just manning our station
However this country turns out, that's surely our creation

It's high time we take the needed steps to do what's best for our country. No one else can do it to us and not even the international communities. Every nation is battling with one thing or the other with their plate already full. It's easier to turn to others when things are not working forgetting they have things they needed help with as well.

What are you doing to make your country better? It starts with the little things as every action is directly or indirectly contributing to the decadence. We complain about how we don't have a good drainage system and yet we finished our bottles of water and threw it inside the drainage. The government won't be the one to face the consequences of it directly when the flood kicks in. We have so much to lose than the government and that's why we need to do what we have to do as individuals.

It's time for us to take action rather than look over to the government for everything. We already know how selfish, greedy and insensitive they are and our constant bickering won't change them overnight. We are brooding in frustration with constant bickering because it won't get anything done and they won't even bother about us. It's high time we do what's best for us, for our country and even for generations to come.

I've always wondered how future generations would look upon us when we choose to ignore things as most people are doing currently. It's high time we take the focus away from ourselves and think of what future generations would think and how it would affect them when we don't do what we are supposed to do. We always push the responsibility to others when we should act and do our bit. Every little bit helps.

Thank you for your time.
