POLTERGEIST - MOVIE REVIEW
Poltergeist was directed by Toby Hooper and produced by Spielberg with a co-writing credit from Spielberg. Tells the story of a family that begins to understand their home is haunted chairs move across the kitchen floor, their young daughter communicates with someone inside their television. more strange things happen over the course of 1 of the foremost fun haunted house movies ever made.
A Spielberg movie, it seems like his hands are everywhere this thing. It doesn't desire anything Hooper ever did. this might be because spielberg co-wrote the film. tons of his tendencies are within the movie but some people on set have said that Spielberg was behind the camera more often than he admitted. Poltergeist may be a lot of fun. This film features a very Spielbergian touch to horror therein . Even when it's alleged to be scary, he tries to place light-hearted touches to the movie. He uses tons of humor in between scares. Sometimes which will be to the film's detriment.
I feel on behalf of me , it's just more of a pleasant watch. I just find it exciting and entertaining. There are some very gory elements during this movie, just like the guy imagining himself ripping his skin apart. Toby hooper and Spielberg showed tons of restraint during this movie. Sometimes that made it less scary and sometimes that made it better because albeit this film features a lot of computer graphics . The film also uses tons of practical effects. When it goes for its scares, you'll tell in Spielberg's writing in his producing that.
The family dynamic in poltergeist is superb Craig T Nelson and Jo Beth Williams desire an old marriage with plenty of stories. They feel very lived in whenever . They're on screen talking about their past especially during this one bedroom scene. you are feeling like they have been together for a short time but they are not disgusted one another . They love one another even more and therefore the children within the film are great. Especially, young heather o'rourke who tragically gave up the ghost some years later.
