Tutorial Contents

Conversations a free and open source Jabber/XMPP client for Android. Easy to use, reliable, battery friendly. With built-in support for images, group chats and e2e encryption.
Conversations make it very easy to create an account on the conversations.in the server. Using that server comes with an annual fee of 8 Euro after a 6 month trial period. However, Conversations will work with any other XMPP server as well. A lot of XMPP servers are run by volunteers and are free of charge.

Let's start the tutorial. To download the app go to the Google play store and search for Conversations (Jabber / XMPP)

After clicking on the app, then you will have to pay before installing, here you will make use of your Credit or Debit card as shown below

after making the payment, the installation process began, and once it is done, Click on the open button to open the app.

Once the app is open, click on the Create Account button as shown below

After clicking on the Create account button, you will be directed to the next page which is Pick A Username , choose a username of your wish.

You will be required to add @conversations.im to your username, example is shown below

A password will be automatically generated for you, but you can clear it and put in the one you want, and can easily remember, then leave the Register New Account On Server thicked, click on Create .

While it is connecting you will be required to fill in a Captcha , fill it correctly and click ok

You now have an account on Conversations.

You can select an Avatar if you wish to, you can pick some from your gallery, if not you can click on the skip button.

A welcome message will be sent to you by Conversations , which is your first chat, now to add friends on Conversations

Click on the Plus sign button as shown below

Click on the add user's button

Type in your friend's username then add @conversations.im then click create
Then send a text message to your friend to signal your first chat.

You also have the ability to accept friend request as it is shown below if a friend add you then click on the Add Back button

Now the conversation can start as chats can be sent from one user to another. Enjoy the app thanks.
