Are there people who don't eat rice, this particular food has been a savior, we substitute it with other foods, as such it's cultivation should be encouraged even the cultivators are to be empowered and supported massively. In this week's engagement challenge I'm writing how to cultivate a paddy.
What is the method of rice seedbed preparation and what steps are taken in preparing the soil for rice cultivation
Method of Rice seedbed preparation is by tilling the soil and making bed for the rice by gathering the soil upward elevation for about 100mm and the space or channel provided in between the bed so that it can act as the irrigation and flow channels. If the soil is prepared well When the rice is germinating it will root very well into the soil.
What is the importance of planting rice seeds at the right time?
There's season for everything , as a farmer having knowledge about planting season is very necessary.
The importance of planting rice at the right time especially during the rainy season. Why we plant rice during this period is to help us have enough water in the soil to help grow our rice. Since this plant can only survive when embedded in water so it is pertinent to make a right choice when planting rice.
How is regular irrigation and fertilizer applied after sowing rice seeds?
Irrigation and fertilizer are being applied immediately after plant and this is done by connecting water to the rice bed or by spring the fertilizer that is mix with water. This process is very important for every paddy farmer because without proper irrigation and fertilization the paddy will be badly contaminated.
What are the major pests and diseases of rice crops, and how can they be controlled
False smut is the common pest that always make the seed chalky and determinate the seeds. The always occur when there is excessive rainfall .
Grasshopper are also another disturbing pest that attack the rice crop.
Control measures to put in place when treating pest and rice diseases include the spray of hot water of about 50-60oc.
.When removing the affected weeds it should be kept away from the good plant to avoid infecting the healthy ones. Hence the seedbed should always be tidy and keep safe.
Technological machines can also be used in order to cover more land space in a shortest time.
What are the next steps after harvesting the paddy and what are the steps to be taken to preserve the paddy?
The next step after harvesting the paddy is to cut the mature pinnacle and the straw above the ground also separate the the harvested ones from the growing ones. After this is done the next process is to sun dry.
It is necessary to dry for some days, then the storing starts by storing it in a container that is fully with grassy materials and covered or sealed it.
Finally, I love plentiful harvest of paddies because it makes food more sufficient to the mass and give more income to the farmers.

It is right that the finer the soil, the better the roots of the plants. Without knowledge of the seasons, no one can cultivate. So almost all farmers know about the season. Of course, proper fertilizer application is essential, otherwise the land will not be fertile. This insect is called Ketcho in our area. Both this and nematodes cause root rot.You wrote very well.
