Codes that can not be cracked til today
Voynich manuscript
In 1912, a 240-page manuscript with mysterious drawings, diagrams and texts was found in Italy. It dates from the early 15th century. Many experts have been trying to decipher the manuscript for a long time, but they have been able to assign only 9 words so far.
Tamam Shud case
This is a code discovered in a corpse in Australia in 1948. Identity and cause of death are still unknown. Taman Shud in Persian means "It's over". The words could be traced back to an old poem collection found in the dead man's room. Into this, a code was scribbled, which has not been cracked to this day. Some assume that there is information about the British fighter jet "Venom", which was then a major secret project.
The Zodiac Killer Mystery
A serial killer who claimed to have killed 37 people in California in the 1960s and 1970s sent two encrypted messages and evidence to the press. The first message was deciphered in days, but the second, which was supposed to show the alleged identity of the killer, was never cracked.
Kryptos
On the CIA site in Langley, there is a sculpture called Kryptos. Again, there are four encrypted inscriptions, one of them has not been deciphered to date.
The pigeon code
In a fireplace in Surrey, England, the housekeeper discovered the skeleton of a dove carrying an encrypted message. The Albring at the foot of the dove documented that the ring and contents of 1940 are and come from the Allied troops. To date, this code has not been decrypted.
The Shugborough Inscription
The monument at Shugborough Hall in England contains engravings that have not been unleashable for 250 years, even though Charles Dickens and Darwin have tried to do so. Supposedly, the code is a treasure map to the Holy Grail.
Ricky McCormick
In 1999 the body of Ricky McCormick was discovered on a field in Missouri in the USA, but without any apparent cause of death. In his pocket two encrypted messages were found, of which the FBI believes they could declare his death. Both could not be cracked.
Beale ciphers
In 1817, Thomas Beale invented a code that would lead him to a huge treasure. A part of the encryption was cracked and it was revealed that the treasure is 2921 pounds of gold. More, however, could not be decrypted.
Elamite language
This is the spelling of the elamers who lived about 3000 before Christ. More than 1600 panels with writings of this ancient culture have been discovered, but the writing remains unreadable and encrypted.
The answer could be 42 ... but nobody knows.
