DEC is on discount. worth Buying Now ?

People often talk about the SPS token in the splinter lands game because it is a governance token that brings multiple benefits to the holders. We also get this token as part of the reward when we play the game and even there are multiple ways through which we can earn some SPS as a reward. The team has created a nice use case in the game for SPS but at the same time, they have also implemented multiple ways to generate SPS. Now we can generate a good amount of SPS tokens and probably this is the reason why the price is going down. It is hard to believe that sps was worth $1 almost and now its not even 3 cents. This is the fact and we cannot deny it because in crypto anything is possible and SPS is going through the same situation.

DEC Token

Do you remember DEC? Yes, it is the token that was part of the reward pool before SPS but now this has been replaced and we cannot earn this token through the gaming anymore. There is no way to earn this token in the game and only rental is the option through which this token can be earned but because of low rental income, many people have started playing battles again. I have over 200K DEC and now I am trying to analyze whether this is a good time to buy more because I see that price does not fluctuate much from the current price mark. It does not fluctuate much and is kind of stable here however it is not at the expected range of its value which should be $1.00 for 1000 tokens.

Below is 1 weekly price chart for the token and you can see that price is not moving a lot. Slight fluctuation is part of the market it is still it is trading around $.0008 which means for 1000 tokens we need to pay $0.82 as per the current market price. I would like to mention here that this is or stable coin by nature and in the ideal scenario the value should be$1.00 for 1000 tokens but it's been a long time since the token has been struggling to be there.

There was also a time when the price was almost 0.6 dollars which was slightly improved to $0.7 and considering that we can say it is better now. We still have a lot of use cases for the DEC token in the game which means if you're holding the token then you should not be worried because you will always have the options to use it in the game and since it is treatable so you can do it whenever you feel like.

Is it time to buy?

As I mentioned about that we only have the option to earn this token through the rental so if we do that then we would not be able to play if the deck is not strong. We can go with both if we have enough cards. We can play the battle with some cards and the cards that are not used in the game can be rented out to generate some rewards in the form of the Dec token. I believe many users are following the same practice in the game and this is pretty good. I dont have so many extra cards so strong I can not rent them out as of now else my collection power will also drop. Once the SPS is take is implemented then I will think about it because in that case, I need not maintain the card collection for the power as the SPS stake will do it. I cannot say if it is a good time to buy or not from the financial point of view but I hope this can be good in the long term because once we have land in the game then probably the use of DC will increase but supplies are limited.

My holding and strategy with DEC

I have almost 250K DEC and 110k DEC-B as per the below snapshot I expect that there will be a better use case of the token in the game later on so it can be good if I buy some more Dec and make it 500K in total. This will help me more once lands are launched in the game. I have already spent 60k DEC on my 2 plots during the deed registration else I had more than 300k.

I do not expect to rise the price significantly from this point however if it goes down to 70 cents approximately then I think it will be a good buying range. I am going to keep track of the price to see if there is an opportunity of this price or even close to this then I will execute my buying order. There is a lot to buy in the game these days but with limited funds sometimes it is very difficult to manage however I'm trying my best to keep My Portfolio diversified and also to grow it at the same time. We are going to have a bigger change in the game in the form of SPS so it is also important to accumulate more SPS before the change is implemented.
