Explain in detail what is the Socios.com Platform?

Socio.com platform is the first of its kind mobile app which was created by Chiliz. It is a platform built on the Blockchain technology which uses a digital currency called $CHZ. It is an engagement platform which deals with creating of Fan Tokens associated with football clubs or organizations that belongs to the world of sports.

Socio.com platform exhibit the abilities to give to fans a share of influence in his/her club, influence in decision making and also reward fans (once in a life time). In other word, Socio.com platform gives rooms for fans to take part in the decision-making process of the club, especially decision related to marketing, celebratory hymns, stadium design, T-shirts templates, who wins man of the match, etc.

Socio.com platform gives every fan the opportunity to enjoy a closer link with the club one likes and this was driven by the central belief that the transition of passive fans to active fans is a necessity for the future of sports.

Now, what are Fan tokens? Fan Tokens are regarded to as collectibles digital asset that is minted on the Chiliz Blockchain technology and which gives access to voting right in surveys, exclusive promotions, AR-enabled features, VIP rewards, chat forums, games and Contest on Socio.com platform. Fan Tokens which are regarded to as a digital pass to the club one likes best has no expiration date.

One(1) Fan Token is equal to one right to vote in a poll published by the club. The more the Fan Tokens owned, the more influence one will exert and this is because each Fan Token gives a vote. For example, if one owns 10 Fan tokens, one’s vote will count 10 times in any poll. However, Clubs imposes an upper limit on how many Fans tokens an individual fan can own so that no single individual can control decision making.

In 2021, Fan Tokens has grown beyond 150million dollars revenue.

How does Socio.com platform works?

The screenshot above basically illustrate how the platform works. Now, let's see through each steps.

• Downloading the app: Socios.com application is available on the Android playstore as well as Apple store.

• Create account: Having downloaded the app the next thing is to create an account and it is advised to verify one's account before creating a username and submitting one's email address.

• Get Chiliz: On successful creation of account, the next step is to fuel the account with Chiliz($CHZ) by using the Visa , Mastercard or other mode of payment.

• Exchange to Fan Tokens: Having fuel the account, it is proper one exchange the $CHZ to one's favorite team Fan Tokens.

• Take Decisions: Each one Socio.com platform partner’s club has committed to an amount of binding and non-binding polls throughout the course of the sport season. A poll will have a minimum of two choices and so, fans can pick the choice he or she likes best. With binding votes, the club is obligated to ensure that the selection which receives the highest no of votes is acted upon. Also, non-binding polls are used by the clubs to compare fan’s opinion but the results are not necessarily acted upon and the fact that all these votes are registered on the Blockchain technology makes it very effective since blockchain technology exhibits transparency feature.

• Unlock Rewards: This steps is a plus to the platform users. users that are active on the app, participate in polls and follow latest news wins some amazing prizes.

• THE APP:This section gives an insight to what the mobile application entails. The app section is characterized with the Token hunt, Trading, Locker room, Socios united, Badges and Level ups and the Socios predictor.

• POLLS: Under the polls section, we have all the polls created by each club and it is from this section users can access the clubs they likes best or the club they wish to have a say in polls. the screenshot below is an example of a poll created by Athletico Madrid where fans are giving the opportunity to determining or choosing the player for an Instagram Takeover/Stadium Tour and 2 vs 2 Challenge.

In the poll shown in the screenshot above, only users with the $ATM tokens can have a say or can vote.

• REWARDS: The rewards sections explains all other gain users are subjected to for using the app. Under the rewards section we have different categories which are the VIP, Meet and Greet, Events, Collectibles, Socios Merch. each categories are shown the following screenshots

• FAN TOKENS: This is actually the main features exhibited by the platform. the platform creates Fan Tokens for each clubs on partnership. under this section, we can see all the FAN TOKENS that are about to be officially launched and those that had been created and launched successfully, including their start date, end date and also, their opening prices. As of the time of doing this homework, 42 Fan Tokens has been issued by Socios.com from all sports clubs that have partnered with the platform and in which 37 fan tokens have been officially launched with 5 others still in the preparation stage for launch.

• One of the effects is that just as we know that Blockchain technology exhibits anonymity features, Fans can express their choice with no fear of it been downgraded, belittled or ignored.

• Another effect is that Blockchain technology will facilitate mass coordination between stakeholders through decentralization.

• Also, Blockchain technology integration in to sports industry will reduce cost by removing third parties. Blockchain technology is very secured and transparent and this will build trust between stakeholders as data are secured and open for all parties to see.

• Also, the integration of Blockchain technology will address various challenges such as ticket scalping, improving fans engagement.

• With Blockchain technology, Sports Clubs can simplify athlete data analysis and also handle sponsorship more effectively.

3). Is Socios.com a good prospect as an investment vehicle? Explain your personal opinion along with strong evidence.

To be sincere, this is my first time of hearing about the app but with this lecture and with little research I had made I think Socios.com is a very good prospect as an investment. To me, Socios.com has great potentials for the future and below are some of the reasons why I believe investing in it will be a very good idea.

• The uniqueness of the objectives makes it a very good prospect for investment. The idea of it turning passive fans to active fans is a great idea and this is what every passionate fan of a club has always wanted. All fans want to have a say in his club irrespective of their location and this means for as long as there are fans, there will also be socios.com.

• Just as we all know that the sports industry is one of the most lucrative if not the most lucrative industry in the world, it has the most fans who are emotional about it, supporter that supports with passion and with this, Socios.com choosing the sports industry means it has a great chance for growth and development which also makes it a good prospect.

• Socios.com is the first of its kind meaning that as of now there is no competition. For every fans that desires to partake in the clubs he or she likes, the only platform that is available is the Socios.com platform and with this, massive revenues is earned and this also makes it a good prospect for investment just as we all know that the essence of investing is to make profit.

• Also, I believe even if there start to be competition, the popularity that socios.com platform has gained will continue to be enough to creates massive revenues, so no fear of it falling through.

• The platform is integrated on the Blockchain technology which means it exhibit blockchain technology features which are the; Decentralization, anonymity, transparency, high level of security, etc. the presence of all these features makes the platform less prone to scams, hack and other forms of criminal activities and this also makes it a good prospect for investment.

The following are the procedures to install the Socios application

• Go to Socios.com by inputting the web address in any browser search box and then click on Enter.

• I clicked on Get the app which redirected me to Google Playstore to download.

• On successful redirection to Google playstore, I clicked on Install.

On successful installation, I opened the app and I saw the welcome message as shown below.

• To register, few details of mine is required and as show in the screenshot above I clicked on Get Started, so as to begin the registration process.

• Having clicked on Get started the next thing is to chose the country I resides in number code as well as input my contact number which is used to confirm the authenticity of my device. Having done this successfully, I clicked on Send Verification Code and on receiving the code i inputted the code in the box given as shown below.

• The next thing is to Create a username , Enter my email and Click on Agree's check box. Clicking on agree check box means I have read and I am agreeing to the platform Terms and Conditions. Having done all that is listed, I clicked on Register Now.

• On clicking on Register Now, I received a verification message on my Email and on clicking on Verify now, it redirected me to my browser where I received congratulations message that my email has been verified successfully.

• I received a message on my Email informing me that my account has been upgraded and that I am currently on Level 1 of the platform User Verification Process.

• On opening the app installed back, I am to complete 4 simple steps which I did by clicking on next and then clicked on finish having complete the 4 simple steps.

• Then a message that I have been awarded 1 $SSU popped up having successfully installed and registered an account.

Exploring Socios.com Platform.

On successful login, on the Homepage we have different sections as shown in the screenshot below and which we will explore through all.

Profile section: The profile section is characterized with the Profile details, Settings, Security, Verify your identities, Fan rewards, Digital Collectible, Invite friends, Contact us, More and the Logout button.

$CHZ Section :Here, fan can buy $CHZ using either Visa, MasterCard or other modes of payment.

MARKET: Here, trading occur. The exchange from $CHZ to Fan Tokens or One Fan Token to another Fan Token is done in the market section.

On clicking on ACM/CHZ, there is a pop up to buy or sell ACM as shown below.

VOTE: under this section, Fans can access polls created by sports industry and can make an influence by voting.

TOKENS OFFERING AND FAN TOKENS: this is also a section in the homepage where some fan tokens are listed and also tokens offering.

CATEGORIES: Here we have different categories of sport that are in partnership with Socio.com platform.

• FOOTBALL: This categories encompasses all the football clubs that are in partnership with the platform.

• GAMING : This categories encompasses all the gaming clubs that are in partnership with the platform.

The advent of Blockchain technology in the world of sports connotes that the world is actually going totally digital and this actually gives me joy because of the unending benefits that are associated with this technology. Socios.com platform has closed the gap between clubs and their fans especially those that are located in a distant place. the platform has given us the opportunity to be able to determine or influence clubs decision which is a good thing to all passionate sports fans.
