Thinking out loud about Steemit
I think there is too many people here only or mainly for the money. That is the reason why when the value of STEEM raises there a lot of the users and users are more active.
I've have spend some time out of this community because I needed some time to think what I'm doing here and why it is worth for me to be here.
Have you spend some time out to get some steemit-rest and organize your thoughts?
I would like to see your opinion.
In others social media it is more clean to see the objective of the people that are behind of the screen, but where there is money involved it gets difficult to know the real intention behind a like or a comment. Has this person enjoyed the comment or are they just willing to get profit?
Maybe this is the reason why the content is not always the best here, it is day by day getting difficult to find interesting content, a lot of copypasted content...
I really think Steemit should automatize relevancy with some criteria different than user votes, for example, they could lower in ranking posts that seem copypasted or with a very low number of characters and rank higher good formated, with picture and text content.
You could answer to yourself, as you said there is a lot of copy paste, some scammers out there, people that post about economy without having much knowledge of the issue.
I readed in another post a steemian thinking that this steem value is good, because all the people that are here for money tend to go out, that short sighted mentality only devalues the platform, and I agree with him in many aspects.

There are some great consistent quality posters but unfortunately it can be hard to find the content beneath the avalanche of paid for and bit votes. A better discovery mechanism would be welcome. There are a few people working on things which should improve the situation. It can't come soon enough though.
