The whole Steem community seems to be in Frenzy Today. Why all of that? Were you people not expecting the Steem price to go this high?
I'm a strong believer of Steem. 18 days ago when @ thecryptofiend, made this post, STEEM breaks the $1.10 mark again and back at no. 10 on Coinmarketcap. I remember vividly, how I told him that soon we won't be celebrating Steem at $1. This is my comment on the post.

Today if you hear Steem went back to $1, I'm sure you won't be happy about it. Absolutely, It wouldn't be a thing to celebrate.
I don't know about you, but I foresee a great future for Steem. Whenever you see me sell my Steem, it isn't because I don't believe in Steem, but for some pressing issues. It is not my ultimate wish to sell a single Steem now.
If you have money, this is the right time to invest in Steem.

I think you can be totally right, most people however don't really understand how this can happen because they don't understand exponential functions:
I tried to explain this in a post : curious how long it would take with actual growth rates to reach 50 MILLION steemers? people don't really understand how powerful a growth rate of 4% a WEEK really is. That means that something can DOUBLE in about 3,5 months. (and the growth rate seems to be accelerating!)
I explain in my post here and show some calculations how far and fast 4%/week growth can bring us, really exciting!

I hope Steem goes back to $1 so I can buy EVEN MORE. The fear of missing out with this new high ahould accelerate the growth of Steem's value, and even though I didn't become active until just over a month ago, I'm glad I did. :)

Agreed! I think if you just look at the power of this system, it's no wonder the value continuously rises! Why do we put value in USD? It's all about perception in the marketplace. If we choose to value something it will have real value.

True story @longshot. Cryptos will cripple the banks one day.
They (the FED & Central Banksters) have been talking up doing away with slugs & paper for awhile now. Their "money" (not!) has been getting more expensive to make and distribute than it's worth. So of course they're looking at cryptos - The question is, how long are they gonna put up with this technology outside of their control? When will they "criminalize" all cryptos other than their own state-sanctioned coin? Don't get me wrong - I like my Steemit piggybank, but if (of when) they pull the plug, I'll be glad I'm holding physical assets.
Of Course, I understand you perfectly well. It is a matter of the application of wisdom.Everyone who invests in Cryptos, should know that holding a physical asset is very important.
I recommend a balanced portfolio (NOT a financial advisor mind you!) But you're perfectly right. Never invest more than you can afford to lose and never put "all your eggs in one basket." (Grandma's words of wisdom! :-)
