Why Does Great Blockchains Lack Public Support ?
The Only thing making headlines nowadays when it come to Cryptocurrencies is their dollar value, there is a slack of Interest by the general public when It comes to really studying the blockchain and what it has to offer
The general public interest when it comes to cryptocurrency is still greatly hinged on greed which arose after the current adopters of cryptocurrency developed after they saw that the Innovators and early adopters were enjoying huge profits as the move to Cryptocurrency began
The main thing I wanted us to discuss today is why is there a perception of worthlessness when it come to good blockchain projects ?
I say this because I have had a lot of conversations with people around me in the cryptosphere and they have always discouraged me from Investing in Good Blockchain projects like Steem, EOS and Bitshares
And when I ask them why, I get the popular response.
No Good Technological Project Have Ever Made Huge Amounts Of Money
Too many ppl are looking for quick returns. Chasing. Not doing research. They can’t see the forest from the trees. But as Wall Street smart money slowly come in and blockchain 1.0 tech like btc. Eth. can’t handle all the traffic. That’s when DPOS tokens will take center stage. The smart money accumulates when no one is paying attention. And when the sheer performance of DPOS shines. Then BTS. EOS. Steem will shine. FYI silicon tech venture capitals are invested in eos and BTS. FYI
Hey @ogochukwu,
Lemme put this out there before I proceed:
But generally people don't value what they can't see. Its not everybody that has the time, energy nor mental capacity to go through those long whitepapers just to get a proof that it works. The easiest proof of work is Cheddah...the charts...the prices...how much gains made...whether up/down...etc.
As more and more people get involved in crypto, they would be better equiped knowledge-wise to know which ones are the best.
I also believe that at a time, BTC and ETH will just be too slow for crypto transacts and people will be forced to look for cheaper alternatives with less transaction fees and quick transfers.
Many people already know litecoin as being capable of that. STEEM is the next big thing. Especially with SMTs next year. Let's see how it goes.
Cheers man for raising this all important question.

Thank you for your splendid contribution. It went a long way in mirroring my thoughts. People Invest based on projects that are already doing well, no one wants to wait long to make profit.
@ogochukwu
Thanx for upvoting my post .I also upvote and followed you .I will also Resteemed one of your post . It's not big thing but for me it is great.
it takes a risk taker to invest a lot on new ideas , that is why those who go far are early adopters
Hello @joendegz
I believe that Bitcoin have helped dampened the FUD when it comes to investing in Cryptocurrencies, and i feel that subsequent good projects deserve more support.
@ogochukwu
+1 for the dampened FUD and the new ideas investment. But also the waves of newcomers and new believers in blockchain came thanks to the mainstream medias mostly which create the hype. And they talk only about Bitcoin, Blockchain and a bit about Ethereum. So these are taking all the attention of the market, hiding most of the other coins and wonderful techs behind it.
I think it will take a bit more time before seeing a real investment in altcoins (apart from IBM, Japanese companies and other big shots)
Great discussion. I am new here. I have read yore post. I realize that I will have to gather more knowledge about. thanks for sharing
The accompanying pie chart followed it
Bitocoin was 69.5% and STEEM payment there was at 0.2%, that was surprising considering the free transaction fees of STEEM.
I think is all about greed and nothing to do with features, robustness and what the coin could achieve.
I understand the greed of late adopters, but the lack of support these projects gets from oldtimers still surprise me
I agree with you. But these coins ain't doing badly. EOS is heading straight to the moon with STEEM just starting off.
Headlines are all about bringing in those clicks for ad revenue. They know a giant number will get them their views. Always been the downside of a lot of news outlets. They care about what brings in the views everything else could be used to bring in your guess it more clicks!
Once they become accustomed to doing something a certain way and it works they keep doing so. It’s kind of like golf here always talking about Tiger Woods. If he’s doing badly they talking about how he’s hurt and it’s not his fault. If he’s doing great then he’s the best player ever. If he’s not even in the golf tournament at all they still talk about him every chance they get. It’s almost like there is only one player playing golf-- Tiger Woods….
I don’t think I’ve ever heard about the positive impact on job creation embracing a blockchain can have. The impacts they can have by allowing people to share information. If someone created a library that could be accessed anywhere in the world and you check out books using the library coin headlines would only care about how much the coins are worth. Not that anyone in the world could use the blockchain to access books.
You also have to take into account if you are in the business of making money and that is the only goal then whatever gives you best return on your investment in the short term is how major of business people think. Otherwise, those investing in you will go elsewhere for better returns. People want results and they wanted them yesterday.
Literally freaked out when I saw the price of EOS this morning! Very happy that I took the time to do my research and accumulate low a few months ago!
Not only people discussing only financial side of crypto, the scavengers capitalize on that as a means of ponzi scheme
Time will tell they say, i believe with time steem will make a head way, bitcoin did not make their achievement over night it took them like eight year to get to where they are today. Lets be optimistic and do what we can to support steem.
