Uncovering The Myth Behind Creative Thinking
For a long time now, I have been deeply concerned in studying what makes us who we are as Human Beings. What distingushies us from the next person. We have all heard the popular quote
Everyone has 24 Hours
You might have come to know by now that it is not all about the 24 hours but what you do with those 24 hours that counts. In the world we live, there has been a more Liberal methodology to that determines how wealth is distributed and this is because of the amount of freedom that have come with Technology
I said Liberal because we have seen a Lessened Impact in the power of GateKeepers in determining who gets what.
In case you don't know Gate Keepers are people who ensure that everyone adheres to the tradiotional system of Advancement. The Gate Keeper rule says that before you can be recognized in the Society there are some certain criteria you must meet.
The traditional system prefers children to get an Education instead of developing their Innate talent. They believe that a child is likely to become a Failure if he pursues a Musical Career instead of going to School to get a degree and this Idealogy does not care if the child is shaped in a way that will enable him survive in a traditional school system
The child must pass the Criteria of the one size fits all Idealogy. There is a quote that Illustrates this very well and let me paraphrase
Everyone is a Genius in their own way, but if you judge a Fish by its ability to climb a Tree, then you are going to discover that the Fish is very Dumb
Enough of that anyway, the major aim of this post is to talk more about Creative thinking as thats what serves as a Mesh for determining Success no matter what you do
Everyone is born a Genius but not everyone ends up a Success. The most Important thing that will determine your Sucess is what you do with your inborn creativity . I am yet to see someone who is Incapable of coming up with Ideas, the determining factor is what you do with those Idea
Thomas Edison said and I quote ;
Creativity is 99 percent perspiration and 1 percent Inspiration
So the amount of work you put into the Idea matters greatly. Therer are four Important stages to the creative process
Preparation - This is where most of the work is done
Rumination - Where you turn over the Idea in your Subconcious mind. The Brain actually works when we sleep and if you sleep with a question or problem in mind, you will most likely come up with the solution in the morning.
Realization - When you finally get clarity on the problem you are trying to solve
Application - When you put in the work to bring the Idea to Life
Hi @ogochukwu! I came across your post after skimming through a lot of posts which did not seem to be of much worth. Your post made for an interesting read. I liked the way you have encapsulated, in a short and crisp manner, the four stages of the creative process - preparation, rumination, realization and application.
I also agree with you about the impact that our belief systems have on our capabilities. So, if we have some limiting beliefs about our own selves or have a negative self image then we tend to become our own roadblocks on the path of our success. Those limiting beliefs tend to become our reality whereas it could be exactly the other way round if we were to understand those limiting beliefs and replace them with beliefs which are more empowering.
Also, it is very true that the failure to act is quite often what limits us and prevents us from reaching our full potential.
Thanks!
Hello @neerajmotivation
Thanks for stopping by and I am glad that you took time to read the post and Leave a amazing comment
It is always quite amazing what some are able to do in 24 hours and others next to nothing at all. Organization, support system, and skill level come to mind in how much you are able to get done in a day.
If you know where everything is than you is not wasting time looking for things for very long. It is easy to find something you need and move on.
Having the right people around can you can also help get quite a lot more done in a day. There are those who want to micromanager everything and get very little done and those that let people go off and do their own thing so they can focus more on what they need to do.
I can say over time my own writing ability has improved along with certain other skills. What use to take me days to write now less than a day if that. It is quite amazing how improved and quacked the creative process can become ones you have a path to go along and know how to deal with troubled waters along with it.
On very rare occasions I’ll wake up and just be able to pour out a couple of blogs in no time flat. Usually this does not happen at enough of a constant rate that I try and create a better sleeping environment to encourage the process along and be ready for it when it happens.
I tend to be very visual person so I like to use photo and screenshots to help me realize what I’m trying work for and its end goal.
I’m not quite sure I can agree with 1% inspiration. Granted I do love that quote it just seems like everything requires a little inspiration these days far beyond that to get things moving along.
Thanks for reading and the thoughtful comment @enjar. Enviroment has a huge role to play in whatever we have to achieve
If his thoughts are uncertain and not directed to a certain purpose, then the results will be disappointing. Power possessed by every human being that is often called imagination who can achieve high will and ability to find things. However, this ability is different from one person to another. Abilities And talents are basic, but knowledge of the environment can also affect a person's creativity.
Thanks for information @ogochukwu
