Finding true love

There is probably no topic which has enthralled people throughout the centuries and from most every culture than the subject of love.

Science has not been. Powerful enough to illustrate it,. Mathematics cannot anticipate it. Poets still struggle with adequate words to express it.
Basically, we are all in search for love. At any given point, we might be far from it, but we never stop hoping the next chance is just over the horizon. Bottom line is we are looking for true love
One of our dissatisfaction with love is our complete inability to maintain it. It would be really pleasant if love was as simple as baking a batch of cookies, or building a bird house, a pure set of ingredients. Nevertheless, we all know the truth:

Love cannot be constructed, it can never be bought nor traded.

To love at all is to be susceptible, your heart will be broken if you love "Everything". If you reallY want to prevent your heart from being broken, you must give it to no one. What actually makes love so hard and sometimes unpleasant is the vulnerability that always seems to accompany it.

Most times we often use the word "Love" to delineate a lot of things. We love food, we love music, we love a good joke and we love having a good time with ourselves. Using love to illustrate such simple things makes the word seem a little safer. All the same, it is safe because we are not exposed. A nice coffee can never reject us, a song from our favorite band does not leave us feeling worthless. But when we choose to split our life with another person we automatically make a choice to become vulnerable.
Sadly, vulnerability leaves our defenses down and most times we get hurt.

To love at all is to be vulnerable.
