Psalm 144 : 1-2
"Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me."

When we reflect back to the old Testament, we read of many battle that,the children of God had to pass through.
Each battle they fought was "war".The "war against nations,towns and kings.
Their "war" was a physical war.Where spears ,sword, bows and arrows were used.
David had fought So many of such wars and had always won but he got the understanding that the wars he fought were won by the Lord through the training of his hand and fingers .
We are not also different from them but also are involve in a war.
We will consider three sub-topic here;
1.what is war
2.what type of war do undergo?
3.How The lord teachers us to war
A. WHAT IS WAR
War is a situation or a period of fighting between countries ,or groups of people.
A war generally involves the use of weapons and soldiers.A war is a situation in which a nation enforces its right by using force.
B.WHAT TYPE OF WAR DO WE UNDERGO?
In the old Testament, like the life of David ,Gideon and co,they use to fight individual but our war or warfare is not carnal.
2 Corinthians 10:3
"For though we walk in the flesh ,we do not war after the flesh".
That means, as Believers we are also in a spiritual battle.Our war began,Immediately we became born again.Immediately we became a member of Christ army.
Since there is an enemy to Christ and his soldiers and as you are a member we are also under a war.
Our war is against the devil.He is an enemy of your soul.
The devil will love to conquers us any way he can.He doesn't fight fair and Never gives up.
We all face our battle or war.Since our warfare is not carnal ,our weapons are not also carnal in waging war.
They are spiritual weapon ,but mighty through God to the pulling down of stronghold.
Our war is against the principalities and powers associated with Satan.The war or battle the enemy brings to your life is sent to destroy your faith.That is His purpose.

The word "Train" has so many meaning ;it means
- To practice an ability
- To teach and form by practice
- To educate
The Lord teach or train us to war through His word.The word of God reveal how we should go about the war against the devil.
Eph 6 :10 -17
The Lord teaches us when we put our trust in the Him and see that without Him can never win.
We get all the strategies from our communication with the lord in prayers.
Prayer has always been the key and continue to be the key.

Practice makes perfect, we need to train ourselves with the word for thy word is our weapon as Christians.
The good thing in this war is that God goes before us as a mighty giant. He breaks chains, breaks walls and there is no devil to stop him.
