Emotions digging deep;
feelings I can no longer keep.
An absolute affection
armed with great expression.

My soul sings a song
with a romantic tongue.
My heart harmonises the melody;
oh what a sensuous symphony.

My love for a black nation
in a combustible situation.
My mood is obviously real ;
I care for Nigeria a great deal.

I will never hide this love
like a keeper's hand in a glove.
I will let the whole world see
the love as deep as the Red sea.

Even if I remain hungry,
I'll still be proud of my country.
I will try my best to improve her
and turn her to a shinning star.
