Apparently, some mushrooms thrive on other mushrooms:

This image is symbolic for a great many things that could be put into witty words, preferably Steemit-related.
I leave that as an exercise to the viewer, as I am still on my first cup of coffee.
new feeds of the old
i keep watching pics of shrooms everyhere (and not far from me at all) but in my forests, there is nothing since 1st frost, some 10 days ago -.-
no shrooms at all. just some red russulas, but they are around even under snow.
worst part of winter is lack of shrooms ^
Amazing! I would not have thought a mushroom could be around long enough for others to fruit on top.
It's the only time I ever saw this. I don't know if they are parasitic or just opportunistic.
Look at all those tiny ones surrounding the big one and they all suck-up from the mothershipshroom :p
Pretty cool Photo. Nature is wondrous. She was recycling long before man did and does a better job too. lol
I would make a wild stab at it, but can only come up with "Wow...never seen that before."
