A rather big mushroom we saw the other day:

It could just be my imagination, but it looks like there is a row of stitches across the top:

That's a beauty!
There is a mushroom here in Australia that can get caps up to 1 metre across. I have never found one but I'm looking forward to seeing it one of these days.
I hope you get a shot of one of those! No need for a macro lens 8-).

Wow... definitely looks like it has seen better days! Also looks vaguely like a very OLD specimen of a type of mushroom we used to pick that was really good to eat, when they were young.
