The dead soul present in the place where we had dig them after their death.and also they remain in the heart of the person who has good feelings for them and also people who has good memories and also they have finished their past together then they will have memories in their mind.
I'm in the belief that our lives are not "linear" ... meaning it does just go from birth to death. I do believe that we have lived many past lives via reincarnation and we move up higher on each energy level.
People often refer to the grave as the "final resting place". This expression is understandable because by naked eye, the dead person no longer moves. It's just that, the silence is his body, as for his soul, is it true that after death the spirit of man finally rests?
So the one who will rest is the righteous believer. As for the (lawless) again wrong, who will rest are all around him. For the Servant who is faithful again righteous, death deserves to be called a rest. Why? Because by faith and good deeds, the soul really breaks from all kinds of burdens and problems of life in the world. When in the world, a believer must constantly fight against demons with lust as his horse. He must try to subdue and conquer his passions so that he can eject the demon who rides him. In fact, lust is like a wild horse that is easily tempted by the devil's bait. Because with the devil he is given freedom, while with the faithful servant he must be an absolute obedient slave

The dead souls rest within our memories. They may even sometimes even live within our hearts :-)
