thinking about how
the words & actions don't align
the intention and virtue
well meaning-- poorly executed
finding meaning
in the interest of others
in the consumption of others.
the void
gaping as it is narrow
everspiraling.
who can tell
whether
it is
forward or back?

what steps am i taking
if i can't figure out North?
in the mountains,
there is patience
but no grace.
who eats first?
my desire or my fear
the walk
on soft mud
hard rocks
cool water
in the dark
follows me home
and in my heart.
